Election Day: A Modern Psalm

Niverville Tracks by Meagan Peters '18 for Election Day.jpgElection day comes and goes

A day of judgement

The air is filled with the gnashing of teeth

Angry voices flood the market square

Why do you rage, oh peoples?

Your wrath is fruitless and your trust misplaced

The Lord our God is enthroned in Heaven,

He is seated on Mt. Zion.

The house of government is but dust

The rulers of the earth are like clay

He shatters them like pottery.

Who is like our God?

Remember the Lord is God and do not fear

Cease your grumblings for He is above all things

Surely the Lord will not forsake us

For the Lord is faithful to His people
